In response to the media report “six students jointly beat their classmate”, The 8th Field Army said (23^rd) that the trainee Gu affiliated under 203^rd Brigade was beat by six classmates at September 19^th, and the unit have conducted punishment according to law upon receiving the notice. In addition to assist to make appointment and injury diagnosis and maintain personal rights, relevant personnel and their family went to the local Mediation Committee to apply for mediation at September 20^th, and have signed Statement of Settlement to complete the mediation process.

The 8th Field Army strictly condemn the incident of violence. 6 involved trainees have admitted their crime during the administrative investigation process, and the unit have grounded them according to regulations, and also refer the case to enhance the emotional management and military discipline education of military service trainees to avoid similar case occur in the future.
